Getting Credit for PPE

One of the perks of being a Preconception Peer Educator is that you get high praise for your work.  To be sure you can document the important impact you have on improving our nation's health, the Federal Office of Minority Health and the California Department of Public Health have partnered to certify your participation.

Federal Office of Minority Health

Provides a Certificate of Completion to students meeting the following requirements:
  • Attend a PPE training
  • Complete the pre-test and post-test

 

California Department of Public Health

Provides a Letter of Appreciation to students meeting the following requirements:

Individual Responsibilities:

Chapter Responsibilities:

  • Successfully charter a PPE campus organization or affiliation with umbrella campus organization
  • Conduct at least one campus activity per academic year
  • Conduct at least one community outreach activity per academic year with the local partners
  • Complete a year-end report
