Every Woman California - Preconception Health

What is Every Woman California?

Every Woman California is an initiative to ensure the health of women of childbearing age. By working with individuals, health care providers and communities to improve the physical, emotional and social well-being of women during the years in which they can become pregnant, we hope to ensure the health of current and future generations.

On this website you will find information about health considerations for women and their partners before they become pregnant for the first time or between pregnancies, often called preconception health. The site includes links to resources and tools for health care providers and public health professionals. It also includes information for women and men who want to learn what they can do to be healthier for themselves and for their families.

This website was developed by the Preconception Health Council of California (PHCC) in collaboration with the Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Division of the California Department of Public Health. Learn more about this partnership.
